My students love going on the computers. To take advantage of this, I try to allow students to create projects, do research, and expand their knowledge using various online tools. The trouble comes when the noise on the computers gets too distracting for the rest of the class who is engaged in another activity. We need five headphones so that we can use our desktop computers to their fullest without causing disruptions for my other learners. The students deserve to be able to be engaged by the wonders that technology is able to offer us, but it is becoming difficult to do this if activities can only be limited to those with little or no sound involved.
