These additions to my classroom library will entice and engage every student. I strive to make reading a focal point of every lesson. I read aloud daily, encourage and provide time for independent reading, and use a variety texts to model, explain, and demonstrate the concepts I teach. The books in my classroom library are readily available for students to choose during independent reading and I incorporate selections in book talks to get my students excited about reading.
The books I have chosen are interesting, thought-provoking, and relevant. They cover a variety of topics that will foster a love of reading in every student. This variety will support changing interests and keep students reading all year.
