My students will use the Hands-On Equations Manipulatives to construct their own cognitive models. Manipulatives engage students and increase interest in mathematics. My students need tangible educational resources such as these in order to cement the learning.
The hands on equations will make a difference in my students learning by allowing them to make models to solve equations. The Hands- On Equations is an innovative approach to introducing students to algebraic linear equations. The students will use the manipulatives whole group and in groups. The students math scores will increase using the hands on equations and their anxiety for math will continually decrease.
