I teach science for 125 students in a low-income area. A quarter of my students are special-ed and a quarter are learning English in ESL classes, so they really need to have extra time with vocabulary. That's where the art materials come in handy- for creating fun ways to really dig in to science words. Only a few children from each of my classes have glue or colored pencils from home. But they all love it when we use art materials to learn science in class. So you would really be helping students learn in a happy way if you donated to our class!
