As a reading teacher, I know that getting my students addicted to reading is the best way to improve their reading skills. I teach Language Arts to 7th graders in a high-poverty neighborhood. Many of my students are below-grade-level readers, and need to close the gap between their reading ability and the grade-level content they are expected to be able to read and understand.
