These materials will be used during language therapy sessions in school with students who have communication impairments. My students have a variety of types of language goals and many of them are second language learners. These materials are versatile enough to address multiple types of IEP goals, including vocabulary, language concepts, and early literacy skills. Using manipulatives during speech and language therapy helps students stay engaged and learn through both visual and tactile modalities. These materials will help my students to communicate more effectively, which benefits their academic learning but also their relationships at school.
