I teach middle school English Language Arts to a super awesome, culturally diverse student population. Many of my students come to me seeing no reason to read or write on the daily bases. I am building a high-interest, learner centered, project based classroom. My foundation is relationship, rigor and real world application which encourages students to spend daily time thinking, discussing, reading and writing. This is a process that will prepare them for college and/or careers in the 21st century.
