My students are in Kindergarten in the inner-city. They desperately want to read but are not yet able. Even those who have an idea about reading struggle at finding a book at their level with substance. The only time they really get to read is in school. They do not always have the support at home to read with someone. Exposing them to reading and getting them interested in reading is the beginning of a lifelong love of learning and exploring.
About my class
