I teach in a K–3rd grade self-contained classroom for students with Autism. My students are incredible, diverse learners with a wide range of strengths, needs, and abilities. Most of my students are non-verbal, so a central focus in our classroom is helping them find and use their voices—whether through communication devices, picture symbols, gestures, or sounds.
Each child communicates in their own unique way, and we work hard to ensure they feel understood, included, and valued every single day. Our classroom is a safe, supportive space where students can learn, grow, and be celebrated.
