Howdy from 1st grade! Our school is somewhat unique in that our students attend both English and Spanish classes. I teach the English portion or half a day to two different, but wonderful groups of students. Most of my kiddos are considered to be English language learners meaning they're learning to speak/write/read the English language at a native proficiency. Our school is considered economically disadvantaged our kiddos face a lot of hurdles on their way to graduation, with many not making it even that far. With all that being said, these little babies are super engaged in learning and love getting involved and taking charge in the classroom!
