My students live in crowded apartments in Lewiston, Maine, and they have had few, if any, opportunities to witness life in the country. On this field trip, students will spend a spring morning at Sunflower Farm in Cumberland, Maine -- learning about goats, cheese making, and life on a farm; best of all, students will play and snuggle with newborn baby goats! We will enjoy a picnic lunch, do some fun farm chores, play games, and/or do some yoga among the goats in the fields. By donating to this project, you will help students take part in a different kind of learning outside of their classrooms and home lives. It will be a day to remember and a wonderful escape from life in the city.
