As a teacher in a low income/high poverty Title I school, my students are faced with many obstacles on a daily basis. Many children are not getting a good night's sleep and often do not have the materials needed at home to help them succeed in the classroom. I am so lucky to be part of an amazing staff, at my school, who truly cares about the successes of all of the children. My classroom consists of a variety of students, including students with learning disabilities, Attention Deficit students, emotional disabilities, among others. They deserve to have a chance! I have a total of about 60 students, and I am excited to build onto our fun and relaxing classroom environment, which will meet their needs.
