My students are representative of America. They are mixed in culture and ethnic backgrounds. They are a combination of economic classes from poverty to middle class. They all have hard working and concerned parents that put a lot into supporting the school their child goes to but they need help too! They are eager to learn but they are first graders whom need constant assistance in focusing and a multitude of learning devices to secure what their learning into their early foundations. The school they attend is in a nice area; however, even there they have had to experience a lock down lasting til 7.oo pm and currently our high school feeder had a close by shooting. They are surrounded by a lot of changes within their families and often surroundings. Less and less kids at our school have stay at home moms who can help in class and we have no aids to help children succeed on a daily basis.
