Flexible seating is a non-traditional approach to the classroom experience. This means fewer desks, more open space, and more opportunities for students to make their own self-directed learning decisions! Flexible seating will also allow students to use more energy throughout the day, therefore increasing their focus and engagement by getting all the wiggles out.
Students will have several options for seating including stability balls, wiggle stools, kneeling tables, lap desks, and floor seats. I am excited to implement this strategy in my classroom. I know that it will make real changes in the ways that my students focus and learn daily!
