I teach amazing students in grades 6–12 at Success Academy, an alternative education program in Marion County School District. Many of my students face academic or social challenges, but they are creative, curious, and eager to learn when given engaging, hands-on opportunities. Our classroom is a supportive space where students rebuild confidence and connect Social Studies to the world around them.
With limited resources, we rely on donated materials to make learning meaningful. We use visuals, projects, mapping activities, vocabulary organizers, and SEL warm-ups to help students succeed. Every supply we receive directly strengthens engagement and helps create a positive environment where “Success is the Only Alternative.â€
