Flexible seating for my preschoolers will help them stay focused and engaged. Providing my students with different seating options allows them to choose what is comfortable for them.
Preschoolers need to move around and being able to have seating that allows them to rock, bounce, wobble and lean will help them feel some control in choice, allow for movement and also positional changes.
Choices in seating will also allow for movement of location when needed even at this beginning age. Flexible seating will benefit our preschoolers because they can sit in a more comfortable, more relaxed setting while encouraging positive behavior.
