These supplies will allow my students to check out materials for use at home...to complete their portfolios. They can also be used daily in the classroom from my ninth grade printing and painting unit, through twelfth grade independent projects. We have one press in my art room currently, but the Akua presses and barens will allow more students to print simultaneously....especially when the ink is drying! The brushes and containers will provide students individual tools and also make it easier for them to work between school and home.
It will give all students the flexibility needed both inside and outside the classroom to continue creating, while not worrying about access to what they need.
With COVID-19 and our learning mode uncertain for next year, I want to ensure all students have access to materials they need in order to express their ideas as they'd like rather than just what they and their families can afford.
These will be used to in the classroom daily or in check out tubs if we are online again in the fall.
