There are certain books which must be read by every student, canon. All these books are great for a reason. However, hardly any of these books have a protagonist our students can identify with. This novel will bring cultural familiarity to our students and help them learn to love reading.
Reading is so much more than just setting and characters. Reading teaches us to empathize with the human condition. Reading expands knowledge, provides entertainment and improves writing skills.
