I teach grades 6-8 ELAR at School for the Highly Gifted.
In my school, our students are part of an amazing program for highly gifted learners in grades 1-8. This is a unique opportunity where scholars are allowed to learn and grow at their own pace. Through acceleration in elementary school students are able to do even harder courses in middle school that count towards and prepare them for high school, this allows for more opportunities for concurrent/dual college enrollment in High School. Our program is great because it provides specialized learning opportunities to a group that is often underserved in the school population because they don't struggle or need remediation. We also have an amazing arts program, coding classes, as well as a whole day dedicated to competitive and student created clubs or as we like to call it "Pursue Your Passion."
