I teach in a semi-urban school in Georgia that is approximately 98% free and reduced lunch. I teach 4th grade to an amazing group of students. They are hardworking and have great potential. I believe that each of them has the ability to prove to the world that they can do amazing things. I tell them every day how wonderful they are.
In general, my students do not like to do the work that is involved with learning. I am constantly striving to find ways to teach the required curriculum that is engaging and meaningful for them.
My students are often unable to bring the school supplies that were requested by the school. The supplies which are supplied usually do not last through a month or two of the school year.
