About 125 eighth graders pass through my ELA classroom each day. They are a group of incredibly diverse learners. My kids are optimistic, kind, creative, energetic and funny. Each and every one has a place in my heart.
Over 90% of my students belong to racial or ethnic minority groups. Many were born in other countries or are first-generation Americans. Over half live in economically disadvantaged circumstances.
I do what I can to make my classroom a bright, cheerful place where they feel safe and loved. Our school is aging, so furnishings are limited and often show their age. I invest a significant amount of my paycheck in my classroom. The generosity of Ðǿմ«Ã½ members will help me to provide more for my students than I can manage on my own.
Thank you for caring about my students! By donating, you are teaching them that they are valued and loved.
