My students enjoy being active! The trampoline will be used to tie in physical activity with practicing academic skills. Jumping while saying the alphabet, rote counting, spelling words, and counting syllables, are just a few of the many ways in which a trampoline will be used in my classroom.
Rewarding children for good behavior, doing their personal best work, and for demonstrating teamwork will motivate them as well as increase their physical fitness.
They will be jumping their way to improved fitness and academic skills both!
Wobble chairs will offer a seating option that may appeal to my more active and high energy students. For some children, the wobble chairs will be used as a reward. I anticipate using wobble chairs daily during small group time, reading rotations, math groups, etc.
