My 150 English Language Arts, yearbook, and film production students are 7th and 8th graders who live in a low income urban area in Santa Ana, California. The school has a 98% free and reduced lunch population, but that does not stop the students from excelling and working hard to achieve and reach the school's academic and behavioral goals. There is a vast need for my students to have access to literacy and 21st century resources in their hands in my English Language Arts classroom.
