I have the privilege of teaching fourth grade students from a variety of backgrounds with an even wider variety of interests. My background prior to becoming a teacher is in engineering and information technology, so I always look for ways to integrate science and math into literacy and social students lessons/projects. I believe it is essential to help students develop "21st Century Skills" - communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
