Nearly all of my students live in a low socioeconomic area. I have students who have to share a single room with up to 4 or 5 people. Many do not have technology, internet, paper, pencils, and especially books. My school is a place that works hard to counter the deficits that our students are faced with daily. We promote reading, writing, math, and all other disciplines with enthusiasm. We want our students to know that they are not stuck in poverty forever and that the most successful way out is a good education. Teachers, parents, and staff work together to make meaningful lessons, aspiring goals, and a will to succeed.
