I teach at a Chicago Public school that has adopted an inclusive approach. An inclusive approach benefits ALL students! All students have different learning styles, needs, and preferences. To allow those different needs to be met, I co-teach alongside the bilingual third and fourth-grade general education teachers. Our students come into school with growth mindsets and are ready to conquer the day, no matter what obstacles come their way!
As the Special Education teacher, my students require differentiated instruction and materials on a daily basis. With contributed funds, I can design learning experiences in flexible ways to meet the needs of my individual learners. I can use a variety of methods for students to access material, engage with it, and show what they know.
