I believe that every child can learn, however, not every child learns the same way. If I can engage their eyes, ears and hands, they are likely to concentrate better than if they are just listening or just watching. By using a wide variety of learning strategies and materials, I strive to reach every child and keep them engaged in that learning. I have a class of thirty-one third graders. The academic levels are broad in my classroom, from students reading at a first grade level to those reading at a sixth grade level. My students are eager learners and strive to do their best each day. I try to meet with as many students as possible in small group settings in order to meet their needs in math and reading. I also try to use as many resources and materials as possible to keep them engaged.
