My project is to seek fun and educational ways to incorporate science and math into instruction. These manipulatives will help integrate learning through exploration. The manipulative items are common objects that will allow the students to be hands on in their learning. Blocks, cars, magnets, fishing rods, magnifying glasses, and much more will be used. These objects will help the children learn counting, new vocabulary words, shapes, and problem solving strategies. Students will be able to count fish while fishing, explore new shapes with the blocks, develop fine motor skills with the tweezers, and students will also enhance their cooperative learning as they work together. Can you imagine the noise level of 4-year-olds counting while fishing for numbers or driving cars down inclined blocks? Your donations can shine light in the eyes of each student. At the end of the day they will have new knowledge and less energy. But, tomorrow will begin a bright future. Did you know that yellow and blue make green....watch us grow!
