We have 23 student who live in very low income families. I support "hands on learning" which help these students build self esteem and excitement in learning. Also since they never know where their next meal is coming from, I supply food during the day. I send home foods to get them through the weekend. Some have limited clothing so I help get donations of clothing to discreetly pass on to them. I teach them how to grow their own food even in small cement areas. I teach them how to cook, wash their clothes and how to secure a job. There is so much out of the regular classes that these children need to be successful. The most important thing is that they know someone cares if the show up each day and if they are OK>
