Students are their most original when engaging in art activities. From building a skyscraper, to drawing a self-portrait. My students have been able to feel most comfortable during our art time of coloring or drawing, staying engaged, and taking their time to create amazing pieces of artwork.
Working in a low-income community in Oakland, CA our students do not have the necessary art tools/supplies to have the opportunity in being as creative as they can be.
Providing these art easels is just the first step in our classroom to increase our students' confidence in art as well as continue building a safe space to be creative!
