My classroom is a preschool autism class that focuses on learning through play in a naturalistic way. The theory is called Pivotal Response Training. It is an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) practice where students learn academics, communication, play, and social skills through natural interaction with staff and peers. The classroom is student led rather than teacher led like a Discrete Trial based classroom. The students are motivated through toys and playing with peers when learning new skills.
