My students are bright, joyous, curious, and engaged in their learning and in the world around them. In second grade, our students explore new texts, new cultures, and new ideas through books, videos, conversations, and lessons, and we do it all in Spanish! Many of my students come from Spanish-speaking homes. In our program, they have an incredible opportunity to speak, read, and write in their home language, which enables them to progress rapidly, while our native English speakers continue to increase their fluency and literacy skills. My students are on a path to becoming bilingual and biliterate citizens of the world!

About my class
