My students would love to have a classroom garden to have hands-on experience with science! We will use the garden beds, soil, and watering cans to start and maintain a classroom garden. We will be able to have science lessons outside with a garden of a our own. Second grade topics we will discuss include how plants depend on water and light to grow and that there are many different kinds of living things in any area.
My students would be given an opportunity to interact with nature which usually does not happen!
A classroom garden will open up a path to loving science and nature for our class! My students will love getting their hands dirty while making an unforgettable connection to our Earth.
