Our students are Title I students that come from inner-city neighborhoods across Houston. In spite of the fact that most of our students ride the bus each day to and from our school, we manage to get students committed to high academic achievement and world-class extracurricular robotics competitions.
With an enrollment of approximately 750, we have over 100 students in our robotics club. Our robotics club is involved in the FIRST Robotics Challenge (FRC), FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), BEST Robotics, VEX Robotics, Technology Student Association, NSBE and SECME Engineering competitions. Last year our FRC team finished 2nd at the FIRST World Championship and one of our three VEX teams competed at the VEX World Championship.
Our teachers, administrators and parents are very engaged with the success of our students and are very attentive to the achievement and conduct of our students.
About my class
