Having a plant growth stand will help my students be able to grow the variety of plants and algae needed for their biology studies. Examples of these studies include: AP Biology using the plant cart to grow and propagate their mustard plants, exploring the genetics of these plants; and Biology 1 exploring the rate of photosynthesis in aquatic plants in a variety of conditions. In the past, students take up a lot of counter space for their plant experiments, the plant growth cart will save us space as well as time finding places to put containers of plants. As we frequently have multiple experiments going on at the same time, the cart will create a safe space for the plants to grow and students to observe the changes in their plants. This cart can be moved to the window to maximize the light going to the plants or moved to a central location to allow easy access for the students.
