This project has developed because of my need for classroom supplies as a first-year teacher and also for my students who will need to keep their supplies completely separate this upcoming school year. With the restrictions on community supplies, teachers are faced with the challenge of providing learning manipulatives that cannot be shared.
My hope is for the Book Bins and School-To-Home Organizers to encourage students to learn responsibility for their personal belongings and allow for fun activities while adhering to safety protocols.
Students will be able to use the book bins to hold their books and their personal supplies (crayons, pencils, glue, and scissors). The book bags, organizers, will be used to store student's individual manipulative tool kits for math and for reading. These tool kits will include hands-on materials, review cards, and engaging activities to help students learn in the best way possible.
