I teach at a Title I school where my amazing students are energetic, optimistic, full of life, and ready to see just how high they can reach! The neighborhood I teach in was recently ravaged by the historic flooding in Louisiana. While some of our students were displaced but able to return to their homes soon after, many of our students still remain in hotels, temporary housing, or with family members. In addition, with 100% of our students receiving free lunch, they face material hardships quite often. Despite the additional hardships brought upon us by the flooding, we remain positive and are staying vigilant to instill a love of life and learning!
