I work in a predominantly immigrant community in south Los Angeles. My school is a Title I school, which means that we serve students who come from a low socio-economic background. The students in my class are curious, motivated, and have a deep love for learning. Every time I meet with my students my love for them and my work exponentially grows. My students don't use their circumstances as a crutch, they use them as the fuel to push through and excel in their academics.
