Welcome to my music classroom, filled with engagement, excitement, energy, and eager students, ready to make beautiful music each day. My students are in K-5th grade and come from many backgrounds and diverse lives, but they all love to sing, dance, play, and move. My school is an Expeditionary Learning school, so my classroom is busy everyday creating, making real life connections, building background knowledge, and digging deeper to learn more. We focus on student led learning and hands-on activities and projects. The Orff process aligns perfectly with my school's mission and beliefs. Through the Orff process, I have been able to design creative lessons that engage my students, spark their curiosity, lead them to discover new things and allow them to create their own music. My students are very proud of the work they create and really love the opportunities they get through their music education.
