The beauty about the Amazon Fire Tablets in the classroom is that they are able to be used for everything! I plan on implementing these tablets during whole group, small group, workstations, and indoor recess on rainy days. During whole group and small group instruction, students will use the tablets to follow along slides which I will control from my computer. These slides will be interactive. Students will be able to answer questions on the tablet which will be visible to me as soon as they are submitted. Students will also be able to follow along with electronic copies of a read aloud. During workstations, students are able to use app games that will aid them in letter name and sound recognition, letter formation, sound blending, high frequency words, syllable counting, shape and color recognition, number recognition, number representation, addition, and subtraction. On rainy days, we have recess indoors and I would love for students to include technology as an option for gaming. In a world constantly evolving, it is imperative that all scholars begin to gain technological experience via education if nothing else. This grant will help to keep students engaged and never knowing what to expect next. Thank you for your continued support of educators. You are appreciated!
