The students that I work with are economically disadvantaged. Many of them come from single parent homes where working multiple jobs is a priority to be able to provide for the children. I have many students that are extremely bright and have great potential, but the lack of materials available for them is discouraging. The school that they attend is in the inner city and most of my students live in apartments or projects.
