I’ve been a teacher for 20 years and am entering my 21st year in education. For the past 17 years, I’ve had the joy of teaching 6th grade, and this year I’ll be teaching math to all 6th grade students at my school. Our school is a Title I school, which means over 50% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Many of my students face challenges outside the classroom, so I work hard to make our classroom a safe, engaging, and supportive place for learning.
