As Stella Adler, an American actress and acting teacher, said, 鈥淭he theater was created to tell people the truth about life and the social situation.鈥 We are embarking on creating a sustainable After School Drama Club for third for fifth graders, through the Disney Musicals in School and in collaboration with the Bay Area Children鈥檚 Theatre. For the next three years, we will work with them to gain the experience to be able to continue the Drama Club on our own.
Your generous donation for wireless headset microphones will allow our students to discover their true potential. Our first year鈥檚 production will be Aladdin and are gearing up to start rehearsals mid-January. After 17 weeks of hard work, we will have performances on May 20th and 21st, 2020. The 12 microphones will allow for all main characters to be able to deliver their lines, as well as hear the surrounding ensemble cast.
However, you donation will last year after year, production after production, for many students in the future. Anytime a student performs on stage, whether it be for our Drama Club, the Fifth Grade Talent Show, or student assemblies for Family Fridays, our students will be heard crystal clear. I鈥檓 excited to showcase our student鈥檚 talents while we are building their 21st century skills: critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. Thank you for considering us for you donation!
