Students in high school need craft supplies to make learning fun. My school is economically disadvantaged and in need of more supplies. Teachers receive bare minimum supplies and most students cannot afford to purchase extra materials for classes. Many teachers provide pencils, paper, and notebooks out of their own funds. The students work and learn so much better with manipulative materials in all classrooms. My students process information better by drawing them out and creating with the ideas. Creating word walls, posters, models, and other manipulative materials make class more interesting and help students focus on the task at hand. These options improve attendance and attitude in the classroom.
