Have you ever walked into a space and it just felt good? Felt so good that you wanted to stay and soak it all in. Or more importantly you couldn't wait to go back to that warm environment? That is the experience that I want to bring into my fourth grade classroom. It is time to bring our classroom to a more modern feel, where students are engaged whether they sit, stand or wobble. Either way they are happy to be learning.
Why flexible seating? It gives student's a choice, makes them feel empowered, it is good for their physical health and addresses their need for sensory input aka fidget! I am mostly excited about the collaboration and community it will create in my classroom. Finally it is fun and cool!
