In my STEAM Lab, elementary students learn through hands-on inquiry-based science. A normal day in our lab includes designing and creating models to understand scientific and engineering concepts or conducting an investigation on soil erosion. Through this learning, students practice thinking and acting like a scientist.
My goal is to encourage a lifelong love for science while encouraging young learners to become innovators, creators, and critical thinkers.
Funding a hands-on inquiry-based science lab is a challenge. We need help with everyday supplies and with larger purchases that allow students to pursue science learning in meaningful ways.
