I teach 8th grade at a middle school located in a low-income community in the high desert of California. The majority of our students are from minority backgrounds, and many face significant challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. Despite these obstacles, my students are resilient and eager to learn. They strive for success and show incredible determination in their studies, and I am committed to providing them with the resources they need to thrive academically and personally. Spanish is the only world language taught at this high school. In my class, we sing, dance, tell stories, play games, draw, write, read and have fun while acquiring the Spanish language.
