I am currently teaching in a reduced model EIP Kindergarten classroom. I have 18 students, all on different learning levels with different learning styles. I have advanced students who need more independent activities to extend their learning in order to keep them engaged. I also have very low learners who require direct instruction daily with manipulatives in order to help them understand the concepts being taught. I was also presented with a bigger challenge this year, an ELL student who only speaks Portuguese.
I have learned so much about these kids and what helps them learn. For most, those are hands-on manipulatives, technology, and repetition.
Being a second year teacher, I have not had the time or experience to collect all the different resources that would benefit my class or next year's kids... that's where you all come in!
