This project will use screen printing as a way for my students to learn the collaborative and team building aspects of art while still creating their own individual pieces. The process also allows students a glimpse into real world printing process that is used to create their favorite clothes, accessories, and posters. 'Outside the box' projects like this always get my students excited for art and learning. What's better than that?
The impact of this project will be far reaching so it will be a great investment. This year, our fabulous students will be using the supplies and tools from this project to create shirts commemorating the completion of their 5th grade year and the transition to middle school. They will create the screen designs collaboratively and then print their own shirt. Many of the resources are reusable and will be valuable to students across many different projects for years to come.
