I teach third grade at a very rural school in Montana. My students are typical 'Big Sky Montana' kids, who love the outdoors and the nature that surrounds us. One of my obligations in teaching these wonderful children is to open their eyes to the rest of the world. My students are very excited about learning, especially if it is technology related. Our technology resources at our school are currently limited to some old iPads. Despite their enthusiasm for working with these iPads, the time available for each student is limited as these iPads are shared with all classes Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Even though I only have 7 students, my class this year has a wide range of academic ability. The limited time that we have with the old iPads does not allow for a customized individual program that will be able to reach each students' level of ability. Consequently, it is hard to create a program that will actively engage all of my students.
